A close look at what is happening in the Azov Sea leads to surprising conclusions. One gets the impression that while the Ukrainian and Russian military in this water area are threateningly pushing in all directions with cannon and machine gun barrels, somewhere behind the diplomatic scenes of both capitals, intense, albeit secret diplomatic trades take place. Their outcome, of course, is unclear. Therefore, at the same time, the parties to the once most peaceful sea feverishly prepare for serious military clashes.
Today, superficially, “oil painting” is as follows. Kiev and Moscow continue to send noisy mutual warnings about the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait. On November 16, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, said that our country was anxiously watching what was happening. And, “of course, measures can be taken to protect the interests of Russian navigators and Russian legal entities and individuals.” There is no hint about what these “measures” are and how they will differ from those already taken long ago.
However, on the next day, November 17, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Irina Lutsenko, who was greatly overexcited from Peskov’s words, the representative of the Ukrainian president in the Ukrainian parliament, publicly stated that Kiev would not answer that Russian strictly. Naturally – Ukrainian “it is not known what.”

If we assume that such a crowd of not only Russian, but also mixed seiners, trawlers, tankers, dry cargo ships (or is there anyone else?) is really languishing under the gun of the watchful “yellow blue” Ukraine frontiers somewhere near Berdyansk or Mariupol – where is the reaction of foreign ministries of their countries? Where are the notes of protest and the calls of Ukrainian ambassadors for an explanation? Where are the names of the deprived crews? What, finally, are the nationality and names of the trapped ships? We have never heard of anything like that, until Slobodian suddenly came to the microphone “Crimea. Realities”.
Nevertheless, the news “about the 15 vessels arrested by Ukraine” was picked up by all the world’s leading news agencies. And it started …
Attempts to search around in cyberspace in search of data on new Ukrainian “prisoners” in Berdyansk and Mariupol have come to nothing. In the presence of only the information that for a long time everyone seems to have heard.
Namely: the endless saga of the Kerch seiner “Nord” continues, which has been languishing in Berdyansk since the end of March this year. His crew, with the exception of Captain Gorbenko, a couple of weeks ago, Moscow traded for Ukrainian poachers detained for illegal fishing near the Crimea.

But the noise, it must be admitted, is indeed universal. And in the eyes of his own electorate on the eve of the presidential election, the decisiveness of the current regime by Pan Slobodian is quite prominent. But God bless him, with Slobodian. Now to understand: the crushing ruin of Ukrainian ports in the Sea of Azov has been stopped or only suspended? The answer certainly depends on how Ukraine’s subsequent fate awaits the awaiting trial in Kherson Gorbenko. But in general, all this is particular. As follows from other events, the political storm in the Sea of Azov is only growing. At the same time, neither Moscow nor Kiev are waiting for detente. That is why in recent months, Russia everywhere in the fire brigade pulls here numerous frontier patrol ships (PSKR) and boats. This is usually the case when armed confrontation is not just not excluded — it is very likely. Only the latest news in this direction.
