The clashes between YPG and pro-Turkish militants in the north of Aleppo have resumed. Kurds detained refugees intending to leave the Al-Khol camp in Hasaka. The Russian Aero Space Forces continued to work with the Syrian air force on the borders of the “Big Idlib”, according to a military source from the Federal News Agency (FAN) in Syria, Ahmad Marzouq (Ahmad Marzouq).
Briefly on the outcome of the confrontation:
The Russian Aero Space Forces RF: carried out combat missions in the southern part of Idlib and in the north of Hama.
Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and allied forces: carried out demolition work in the Inzarat quarter in the city of Aleppo; retaliated against Islamist military sites in North Hama.
Syrian Free Army (SFA): exchanged blows with the Kurds in the north of Aleppo.
“Islamic State” 1: Suspected of installing an IED in Raqqa; accused of organizing an explosion in the city of Mosul in Iraq.
Tahrir Ash-Sham: fired with the SAA in the south of Idlib; fired at Sheehan in Aleppo.
The Kurds: Seven people were released from prison in the city of Hsham, south-east of Deir ez-Zor, under the onslaught of demonstrators; suffered losses in the explosion north-west of Deir ez-Zor; about 30 people who wished to leave the Al-Khol camp in Hasakah were detained.
On the eve of the Islamists rocket attacks of the terrorist alliance “Tahrir Ash-Sham” again fell on one of the residential areas of the administrative center of the region. A military source on Twitter (ya3rob_alassad) reported that this time the Sheehan quarter was under fire. Fortunately, none of the local residents was injured, but residential buildings were partially destroyed. Recall earlier, due to the incessant shelling of militants, many of the buildings on the western outskirts of the city came to an emergency condition, which is why the authorities of the SAR were forced to resettle them.
In Inzarat, the next stage of work aimed at eliminating traces of the Islamist military presence was completed. As noted earlier, this quarter was completely purged of Islamist illegal gangs in the fall of 2016.
In the second half of the day, clashes broke out between the Kurdish armed forces and the Syrian Free Army (FSA). The clashes occurred near the settlements of Harbal, Sheikh Issa, Mena, Ain Dakna and Maliki. In the evening, the Twitter channel (mansurmuwahhid) announced the start of a full-scale offensive, during which the pro-Turkish radicals managed to seize the city of Maranaz. In addition, there were reports that the capture of Tel-Rifat would be the key objective of the operation of the Turkish armed forces and the SSA in this direction. This was reported on his Telegram page by a military source (new_militarycolumnist).
Province of Deir-ez-Zor.
In the past 24 hours, mass demonstrations of civilians continued in areas of the province controlled by Kurdish armed groups. Twitter channel (DeirEzzor24) published a video from the scene in the village of Zagir, north-west of Deir ez-Zor. At the same time, protests took place in the cities of Shhil, Al-Buseira and Dyban. Residents of the region advocated the abolition of the forced mobilization and the cessation of the illegal export of petroleum products mined by the Kurds and the United States in the Syrian fields.
It became known that the rallies in the village Hsham finally led to the results. The demonstrators achieved the release of seven young people who were serving prison sentences in the Syrian Democratic Forces prisons (SDF) on trumped-up charges.
There were two explosions in the region. The first occurred close to the village of Muhaymida at the time of the passage of Kurdish radicals, which led to the death of several of them. The second is in the city of As Sousse in the south-east of the province. According to the Internet portal Masar Press Agency, as a result of the incident two civilians were killed.
In the southern part of the region, clashes took place all day long along the line of demarcation of the forces of militants of the armed opposition and government units. The news portal Step News Agency reported that members of the Hayat Tahrir Ash-Sham terrorist coalition, led by Dzhebhat An-Nusra 1, provoked clashes with the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the demilitarized zone, in response to what the ATS forces opened fire on the fortifications of jihadists. So, under attack from the SAA artillery, militants attacked military facilities east of Al-Mastuma, while the Russian Aerospace Forces attacked An-Nusra positions near the town of Hass and also near the village of Mukhambal. Later, the Syrian air force joined the Russian aviation, inflicting air strikes on the deployment zones of the Tahrir al-Sham detachments near the settlements of Maar Takhrom and Sheikh Mustafa. Information about the damage caused by the radicals has not yet been reported.
There was evidence that the militants are preparing to launch a full-scale attack on the positions of the Bashar Assad forces, which were supported by reports of the Telegram channel (sashakots) about the redeployment of additional Islamist gangs to the borders of the Greater Idlib. It was noted that about 200 militants arrived to the outskirts of the demilitarized zone, together with military equipment and weapons.
There were reports of an explosion in the administrative center of the region. According to a military source on Twitter (vvanwilgenburg), no one was hurt as a result of the incident. It is assumed that the bomb was installed by militants of a terrorist group even during the occupation of the city.
Meanwhile, it became known about the suicide of one of the citizens of the United States who served in the ranks of the Kurdish forces. Twitter (shell_blog), reported that an American soldier named Kevin Howard (aka Kane Harley) was a sniper in the Popular Self-Defense Forces (YPG).
Province of Hama.
The militants of the armed opposition continued to violate the cease-fire in the demilitarized zone. The news agency Al Masdar News reported that the radicals organized an attack on the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) positions near the city of Kalaat Al-Madik, which was successfully repulsed by government forces, but turned into casualties in manpower. A Twitter source (MansurMuwahhid) reported that jihadists also hit the military base of the SAR army, which caused a reaction. So, later, the SAA servicemen opened fire on the strongholds of jihadists on the approaches to the settlements of Al-Mavared and Tal Baklo.
Province of Hasakah.
The Al-Khol camp in Hasakah, controlled by the “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF), raided the day before to detain people suspected of leaving its territory. According to Al Khabour news agency, about 30 women and children were arrested and interrogated. They were accused of calling for the elders of local tribes to influence the Kurds in order to ensure a free exit from the temporary accommodation center for everyone. As is well known, displaced persons in Al-Khola suffer a constant shortage of food, warm clothes and qualified medical assistance.
In the city of Mosul, an explosion of a mined motorcycle occurred at a local university. As reported by the information portal Iraqi News, the incident led to the injury of two civilians. The organization of the explosion is suspected jihadists of the “Islamic State”, operating underground.
Meanwhile, it became known about the imposition of a death sentence on one of the previously detained terrorists named Saddam Omar Al-Jamal. It was reported that the militant was involved in the execution of a pilot from Jordan, who served in the ranks of the international alliance, and who was burned alive in Raqqa in 2015.
