Aleppo Province:

In the northern part of the region, mutual shelling resumed on the contact line of Kurdish armed forces and militants of pro-Turkish gangs on the eve of the incident. According to a military source on Twitter (RojavaNetwork), the skirmishes were initiated by the Ankara-supported Islamists who hit the positions of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) near Tel Rifat. At the same time, clashes were recorded in the area of ​​the city of Halvandji in the north-east of Aleppo.

There were reports that the Syrian Free Army (SFA) had deployed additional troops to the front line with the Kurds near Manbij, while the Turkish armed forces brought their troops on high alert.

In the afternoon, there was an explosion in the city of Jandaris in the north-west of Aleppo, in whose organization members of Kurdish underground groups were accused. As reported by Step News Agency’s media portal, the VCA was installed on a motorcycle parked at one of the military sites of the pro-Turkish Jash Ash-Sharqiyah group. No data on the consequences of the incident has yet been reported.

The ANF News news agency reported clashes between local government forces and armed opposition jihadists in the settlements of Shivarka, Maliki and Maranes in Afrin. It is known that the reason for the beginning of the armed confrontation was the attempt of the militants to limit the powers of local authorities.

Province of Deir ez-Zor

A new explosion occurred in areas occupied by the “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) in the north of Deir ez-Zor. As a military source (DeirEzzor24) reported on his Twitter page, it detonated an IED installed in a vehicle of Kurdish radicals in the village of Al-Muvaylih, as a result of which several were injured. The alleged organizers of the explosion are considered militants “Islamic State”.

Government units in the past day continued to explore the territory around the city of Abu Kemal in the south-eastern part of the province in order to search for underground groups of jihadists of a terrorist group. Also, measures were tightened to inspect persons arriving at the provincial capital. So, at the checkpoint in the suburb of Deir ez-Zor Tab Al-Jor several people suspected of collaborating with ISIS were arrested.

Idlib Province.

Russian AeroSace Forces continued to carry out combat missions in the areas occupied by the militants of the armed opposition. According to the information of a military source on Twitter (jisrtv), the aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces attacked Islamist locations on the outskirts of the city of Bdam in the western part of Idlib. Syrian air forces, meanwhile, were deployed in the south of the province in the Khan-Sheikhun area. Later, Allied airplanes were also observed in the areas of settlements of Ariha, Jisr Ash-Shugur, Kan Safra and Marat.

Meanwhile, the SANA News news agency published data on the results of past joint sorties of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Syrian Air Force, as well as the shelling of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA). It became known that the shelters and military facilities of the terrorist coalition “Tahrir Ash-Sham” and “Islamic Party of Turkestan” (banned in the Russian Federation) were seriously damaged. In addition, the militants suffered losses in manpower and in military equipment.

Raqqa Province.

In the past 24 hours, the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in an interview with the Turkish news agency Yeni Ozgur Politika reported that the Kurds were ready to respond to the Turkish invasion of the northern regions of Syria. As reported by the ANHA News news portal, the Kurdish troops intend to unleash full-scale hostilities at the border in case of aggression from Turkey. According to Abdi, with such a scenario, all SDF units will be redeployed to border areas, which may lead to the revitalization of ISIS in Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa and southern Hasakah.

In anticipation of possible clashes, the Kurds continued to strengthen their positions in the north of the region. According to the Twitter channel (MasarPressNet), the SDF radicals confiscated several residential buildings in the city of Suluk for conversion into military facilities. No information has been received about the fate of the evicted locals.

Meanwhile, a military source on Twitter (Salah_Addin_) claimed that the “democratic forces” had managed to detain several militants who had arrived from Turkey, who had weapons and several explosive devices with them. It was assumed that the arrested were preparing for a sortie on the position of the Kurdish group.

Province of Hasakah.

In the north of Hasakah, the Kurds also continued to strengthen their defenses, fearing a possible offensive by the Turkish armed forces. Syria Call news agency reported that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) occupied several houses of civilians in the city of Ras Al Ain and its surroundings in preparation for the clashes. In addition, Kurdish radicals began to conduct mass arrests of Syrians as part of forced recruitment. Ten Syrians, including a woman and a child, were taken into custody in the village of Naim al-Jallad. Thus, the Kurds are taking all possible measures to maintain control over the northern territories of the SAR.

A motorcycle explosion was reported in the city of Marcada in the south of the region. The Twitter channel (Step_Agency) reported that a vehicle that had been accused of exploiting the ISIS, was parked at the SDF headquarters.


In Northern Iraq, the combat flights of the Turkish Air Force continued throughout the day. According to the information portal Anadolu Agency, new air attacks in the Metin area led to the destruction of three Kurdish radicals of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). Information about possible casualties among civilians has not yet been reported.

There were reports of the beginning of a new phase of Operation Will to Win, the goal of which is to completely eradicate the underground groups of ISIS in Iraq. Working together with the Popular Mobilization Force, the Iraqi army conducted searches in the desert areas of Nineveh, Salah Ed Dinah and Al-Anbar, which resulted in the identification and arrest of three ISIS militants.
